Founded nearly a decade ago by Justin Cave, Mae Rose Interiors began as a simple design firm serving a small group of clients with highly personalized care. What started as a modest side gig has grown into a premier retail destination and interior design studio on California's Central Coast. 

The name Mae Rose is a heartfelt tribute to Justin's grandmothers whom he adored--Mary "Mae" Cave and Margaret "Rose" Checchi, affectionately known as Nonnie. These two beloved ladies not only helped inspire Justin's values, but also shaped his love for beauty, family, and meaningful spaces. 

Justin's ties to the Central Coast run deep. Born and raised in Bakersfield, CA he spent his childhood growing up in Grover Beach enjoying his family's getaway home on the weekends with both sets of his grandparents and parents. They would boogie board, dig for clams, and stroll through the local shops of the Five Cities and San Luis Obispo. Celebrations often meant meals at their favorite spots like Jocko's and F. McLintocks--places rich in memories and community connection. Justin’s love for the Central Coast has always kept him close to this special place that he calls home.
